International Federation of Associated Wrestling (FILA)

FILAWrestling tournaments are very popular events in Africa than in any other continent.

Conscious of this popularity, the International Federation of Associated Wrestling (FILA) in liaison with the African Amateur Wrestling Confederation (CALA) cooperates with several African sports bodies since several years.

In an effort to further enhance these actions, FILA has resolved to partner with ANOCA in the organisation of the 1st edition of the ANOCA Games.


Africain Athletics Confederation

CAA The Agreement signed between ANOCA and CAA provides as follow:

  • Athletics competitions at the ANOCA Zone Games will be organised under the auspices of the Confederation of African Athletics and by National Athletics Associations ;
  • A broad-based talent identification campaign in track and field will be jointly mounted in close cooperation with National Olympic Committees and National Athletics Associations ;
  • Joint initiatives in the training of administrative and technical executives as well as of specialists in event management will be put in place for the development of African Track and Field ;
  • Concerted and carefully thought-out action would be developed in order to open regional High Performance Training centres for African Young talents.


CONFEJES

CONFEJES The Conference of the Youth and Sports Ministers of French-speaking Countries is an organization of the French-speaking world set up in 1969. CONFEJES is today composed of 42 countries and government members located in Africa, Europe, Middle East, South-East Asia, in the Maghreb and North of America as well.
Its aim is to advise and support its member countries for activities relating to Youth and Sports. CONFEJES aim is also to train the instructors the countries need in the field of youth and sport in view of reinforcing national capacities and sustainable development.

The President of ANOCA and CONFEJES Secretary General signed a Partnership Convention designed to harmonise development actions of both institutions targeted for French-speaking States of Africa and the India Ocean.

The purport of the Convention is to foster dissemination of sports-related information, support the development and follow-up of national sports development policies and encourage the practice of sport by the majority of the public at large. It further includes provisions on health protection, athleteÕs career and cooperation in the organisation and management of international and continental sporting events.

International Rugby Board - African Rugby Confederation

IRG On the occasion of ANOCA's 12th General Assembly that brought to an end the 9th All Africa Games held in Algiers from 11 to 23 July 2007, the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, signed a Partnership Agreement with the African Rugby Confederation (ARC) and the International Rugby Board (IRB).

This convention aims at promoting the practice of rugby on the African Continent. One of its objectives is also to examine ways and means to include rugby in the programme of the next All Africa Games.
