Afro-Asia Games

Jeux Afro-asiatiquesJointly created by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and ANOCA to bring the peoples of the two continents closer, the first Afro-Asian Games were celebrated in Hyderabad (India) from October 24 – November 1, 2003.

With eight sport codes on the programme and attended by 2000 athletes and officials and participants, this first edition showcased the progress accomplished in sport by several countries: China, India and Japan for Asia, Nigeria and South Africa for Africa.
