Let’s take up challenges, together
During the past year ACNOA was faced with several big challenges that were successfully taken up.
Our Institution has to maintain such dynamic through the implementation of more ambitious projects aimed
at promoting our sports in cooperation with the NOCs and the African Sports Confederations.
The next Olympic Games will be held in Beijing from 6th to 24th August 2008, and will offer the opportunity
to reveal the athletic potential of our Continent.
In addition, true to its calling which consists in encouraging
and spreading Olympic Ethics all over the
Continent, the Panafrican Olympic Institution will have
to gather, through sport - because of the so many
values it conveys - all the social, economic and political
stakeholders by creating a favourable environment of
dialogue and exchanges.
Such were the reasons which led us to create on the
occasion of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, an African
Village meant to be our communication platform.
This is the challenge I am inviting you to take up.
As for me, I know that I can rely on the will and
support of each one of you to make the Beijing 2008
African Village the showcase of our achievements.
